Luísa Janssen Harger Brown is a Senior Accessibility Consultant at Code Consultants, Inc. (CCI), specializing in accessibility compliance and solutions for architectural projects across the United States. She is a licensed Architect and Urban Planner in her home country, Brazil, and holds Accessibility Professionals Association – Built Environment (APAC-BE) and International Code Council Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner certifications. Luísa is involved in code development as a member of the Accessibility Technical Committee of the next NYC Building Code and the ICC A117.1 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities committee. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from UFSC, Brazil (2018), pursued a study-abroad year in Architectural Technology at the University of Westminster in London (2014-2015), and completed a Master’s in Architecture at the City University of New York (2020). Based in Brooklyn, New York City, Luísa loves watching plays and concerts, and traveling around the world.
