APAC Academy (Day 1) Sessions

This session examines accessibility concepts for existing facilities, including barrier removal, program accessibility, alterations, path of travel requirements, and technical infeasibility. Participants will learn to evaluate which laws, regulations, and technical standards apply based on facility type and understand how accessibility provisions arise under the ADA, Fair Housing Act, Section 504, IBC/IEBC, UFAS, ANSI A117.1, and PROWAG.

A focused comparison of the as‑built office building conditions against the approved design, evaluating how well the constructed environment aligns with accessibility intent and identifying opportunities to improve compliance.
